In the dog house

Literally.

Sometimes we get along
When I was visiting family I slept in Molly's bed. Her bed is in a big cage. Because of the joyful holiday spirit, we shared the bed. Once. Mostly Molly just slept on my blanket on the couch.

The pink is my poor, squished blanket.

I like to sleep in other people's beds. It's more interesting to have their smells around me. Also it means I'm the super-princess of everything.

Xmas presents!

Well, it's been a long time.

I'm going to blame my humans, they've been hogging the internet.

So, I got presents when I was visiting with family and molly. Here is a video of me opening one of my presents.

I liked my present very much. There were also treats inside, and after I ate them all I went into the kitchen to see if I could have more treats. I played with the toy after the treats were all gone, so later in the day. It's all crocheted and pretty and good for carrying around and chewing on and playing fetch.

Molly also got presents. Here is here with her favorite Xmas present.
Ropes are the best!

Molly is very good at chewing on ropes. But she doesn't like to play tug with me. She likes to have her own rope.

And here is another toy I got.
Assume spherical squirrel....

This toy is pretty great. I'll have to show you more about it later. It also had treats inside that I got to find and eat.

Am I eating, or being eaten?

It's basically sort of like a big fake squirrel, except as a ball. So I like catching it chasing it and chewing on it. I like presents!

Did you get good presents for Xmas?

Family for Holidays

As I said before, my humans and myself traveled a long way to visit family for the holidays. There are some four-legged family members too. There is a cat, named Kitty, and a dog named Molly.

Molly in front of all the presents.
Molly does not like to play with me very much. She prefers ropes to fuzzy toys. We both run around the house together, just not playing tug together or anything like that. This is a pretty great house. There is carpet so it is easy to run, and it is bigger than my normal house.

Kitty is sticking her tongue out.
Kitty is a very cranky cat. She won't play either. I run up to her and she doesn't run away, just sits there not moving. Sometimes she sticks her tongue out like in the picture above, but I am not sure you can see it.

It is fun to be here with family. Everybody pets me. (There are 4 extra humans.) Even if Molly and Kitty just play near me instead of with me, it is fun to have company. I think this was worth the drive.

Before Adoption

I was just thinking back to where I was before I came to live with my humans. I had moved a lot. I was outside, then in a big car, then I was at a house with many dogs and many children. A lot of them were in cages a lot of the time. The dogs, not the humans.

That was my foster home. I was so nervous when my foster mother said I was going to go to my forever home. She took a picture to show my new humans.

My foster family let me on the bed.

That night, my new humans came to pick me up. Some of the other dogs had humans come for them too. I didn't know which were mine, so I said hi to all of them. At first I thought this one female human was going to take me, because she got out a collar. I jumped up to get my head closer so it would be easier to put on me. But she said no, and put the collar on a very very big drooling dog.

Just then, my humans came! And they liked me! They also liked this bulldog who was my friend, but my foster family said they couldn't take her too, because she just had babies. I never had babies. I was so happy to be with my humans, and they are happy to be with me too.
