Puppy friends

Do you notice anything unusual about my picture below?

This is also a good profile shot.

Yes! I have a puppy friend over to play today. Her name is Pika. She is part golden retriever, part labrador retriever, and part who knows what. She is a little smaller than me right now, but my human says she's going to get a lot bigger.

Simply angelic.

We have been getting along well. I have been teaching her about playing tug, how to wrestle, how to stop wrestling, and what is mine (everything).

It's nice to have a puppy friend around. Human friends tire so easily.

Naps

Today, we are going to talk about naps. Naps are an extremely important part of the day. They let you pass the time while your humans are not paying attention to you. It's an excellent way to pass time, because napping never gets you in trouble!

When napping, it is important to have a comfortable spot. At my human #1's work, I have a little bed under her desk. It lets me be close to her, and its soft, and not too big so I can curl up in it. At home, I like the couch. There are usually soft blankets and pillows on the couch, to augment the cushions.

Comfortable AND fashionable.

Actually, I like sleeping on the bed the most, but I'm not allowed anymore. My humans found little warm hollows in the blankets, and sometimes wet spots where I was licking my paw. Now they keep the door closed all the time.

I have a friend who likes to sleep on hard floors. She says it's the only place that's cool enough to get a good rest. While she is entitled to her opinions, I prefer soft, warm things.

Happy napping!

New Doggy Friend

I met a new friend today. She's a 9-week-old puppy named Ula. She likes to play, but she barks very loud. We ran around and around her house and jumped on the furniture.

We're playing!

We also both like being petted. I'm bigger than Ula, but my human says only for a little while.

One of Ula's humans is petting me.

We played a lot and I got tired. Then Ula got tired and went to sleep. She likes to sleep on the floor because it's cold, but I think its too hard. I prefer blankets.

What a little angel!
Now, you might not have been able to see her very well in these pictures. That's because she's so excited she can't stay still for my human to take a picture. Stay tuned for video tomorrow!

Kitten Cameo

I'd like you to meet Gilly.

She is a kitten and about 12 weeks old. I haven't met her, but I smelled her on my humans' clothes. They went to play with her. I'll forgive them this time.

She is awfully cute. No wonder they like her too.

I want to play with her too! I could chase her everywhere! I think that would be great.

Friend Weekend

This weekend was very very exciting.

First, my human #2 came home! It had been so long! I thought he was never coming home.

Then, my friend Stan's family was gone, so my humans were feeding him and taking him for walks, and I got to come too!
I am getting ready to go for a walk.
Also we got to play in the yard a lot. I liked that. I got to be off my leash and run around. And roll around, and everything. (If you look closely, you can see Stan near the end of the video.)

It was a good weekend. Especially getting to see BOTH of my humans. They are my favorite people.

Exciting weekend

The hurry cane came and went with nothing interesting. I did get to see my friends though.
On Thursday night there was a party, and both my friends Mila and Stan were there. Mila and I played a lot for a long time. I got kinda tired.

The next day my leg was sore. My human got really worried, but I was just tired from playing. I rested all day.
I am napping because I need to rest my leg.
Then we went over to Stan's house to wait out the hurricane. But as I said, not much happened. It rained.

So, that was the exciting weekend, and now I'm back to work! My leg is all better  and I'm running around and jumping and sitting and just generally being adorable.

Good times

A while back a whole bunch of humans came to my house. That was nice, I got lots of cuddles and I got to go on lots of walks.

One of those humans took lots of pictures of me. I got some to show to you.

It was really hot that day. That's why I'm sticking out my tongue. It's to cool off. Really. I'm not making fun of you. It's hot now too. But human # 1 put a big noisy box in the window, so it isn't as hot inside as it was that day.

My human has been acting funny. She says there's a hurry cane coming. I'm not sure what that is but it seems bad because my human is worried. I hope everything is going to be ok. I'll let you know.

BBQ and Playdate!

I got to go to a BBQ and playdate today! Human #1 took me over to my friend Stan's house and his humans made some food on a hot thing that smelled really good.

This is Stan. He's a Labradoodle. He's pretty big, but really quiet and likes to stay near his humans.

This is me near the food table. MMMM that food smelled tasty and good.

Another friend of mine, Mila, came over with her humans. That was great! Her female human gave me food for doing tricks. Also Mila really likes to play. Here is a movie of us playing together.

She's younger than me, and lots of fun. She chases me when I run around and likes to wrestle. I'd mostly rather be running than wrestling, but we can do a little of both.

Also.. I know how to sit in a chair! I'm not showing the human's face because sometimes humans are shy.

I like to play with my friends!

Friend!

Well, I had lots of nice pictures to show you. But Human # 1 is not very good with cameras and accidentally deleted them all.
So here's me being sad that I don't have nice pictures for you.
Also, Human #1 left me all alone today. I was so scared! I thought she would never ever ever come back. And then I don't know what I would do. I held on to myself though. I had water. I got to eat in the morning. I had at least 6 hours before I had to break out and go back to running on the streets. There was a chance, and I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Just this once.
So, after reassuring myself that my new toy was available in case I needed it, I proceeded to take a nap.
Then a new friend came to the door! It was so exciting! He petted me and made sure I had water and told my that my human would be back later and took me for a walk! I love walks! He took me for a really long walk. I told him he was very nice and that he should go on more walks with me. He didn't get bored or anything. Well, eventually. But not for a very long time. What a great new friend. I love meeting friends.
Of course, then I got left alone again. This time, I was sure that my human must have gotten shipwrecked. Or struck by lightning.
And then, Human # 1 came home!!!! I was so excited that I jumped a meter into the air, I just couldn't help myself. I wasn't sure what my human wanted to do. So I jumped between the couch and the floor and ran around her, to make sure I was ready for whatever her plans were. She promised to always come back to me. So I let her rub my belly as assurance that I believed her. And then I had her rub my belly some more. And some more.
I don't know if the best part of the day was the new friend or my human coming home. They're both pretty great. I think I should meet more new friends and go on more walks.

P.S. Here's an Extra Bonus Picture of me getting ready for a walk.
